My March 11 Birthday Wish: Prevent Millions of Suicides Through A $9 Book That’s #8 on Amazon Right Now

This comment was written in response to a tragic www.Pando.com article by Sarah Lacy @sarahcuda on January 29, 2013: mike walsh best friend suicide brother snowmobile tragedy

Short version:

Please purchase this book from Amazon and give it away to someone that might be on the verge of suicide. Its content has saved thousands of lives. If you’re in a marriage or long-term relationship, the book will definitely improve your relationship, so you might enjoy reading it before giving it away.

Longer version:

Suicide is happening too often to people that we know and love.

Accidents like the snowmobile accident that Mike mentioned, which killed his brother, are tragic. Mike also mentioned losing his best friend to suicide.

I cannot imagine suicide since every day I’ve fought to stay alive and to rebuild after the hit and run accident.  However, I know that for those that take their own lives, something within them has given them the belief that they have no other choice.

Rather than the usual request that you donate to a charity, I’m asking you, for my birthday, to purchase a book that I did not write.

Once purchased, don’t feel obligated to read it. I guarantee that you know a man that this book just might save from committing suicide. Please give it to him. Oh, if you DO choose to read it, I know that your marriage or long term relationship will drastically improve!

So, my request to you is for you to purchase a book that you’ll give away to someone that might be experiencing a pain that might be leading them toward suicide. Though it may be impossible to see their internal pain, it’s worth trying. The Kindle version is $8.99, and the paperback version is $11.99. I believe in the power of its content so much so that I accepted when I was asked to write the forward to this book.

The author of Preventive Medicine earns a nice living as an entrepreneur, he doesn’t make his money from sales of his books. This book was written in response to his brother-in-law’s suicide and at the request of millions of men and women that follow his blog.

Its content is the culmination of research and the core writing of author/blogger Rollo Tomassi from www.therationalmale.com. I sincerely believe that if Mike’s best friend and thousands of others that committed suicide had read his latest book Preventive Medicine, they would be alive today.

If nothing else, would you please leave a positive review for the book based on the knowledge that the intent of its content has already prevented thousands of suicides through the blog – now the ideas have been expanded into a book.

Who is Mike Walsh? He’s the reason you have @Uber, Salesforce, Tesla and about 80 other brands that are changing the course of world events in the most positive ways. This post in the Wall Street Journal will give you a better idea about this great man Mike Walsh. Every day I’m thankful for his encouragement and contagious, enlightening way.

Also, if you have any contacts within 42West, please tell them about this book.

Full disclosure, Volume 1 of this book The Rational Male is a paperback/kindle that’s also audiobook that I narrated. It will be released on Audible.com later this month.

The book is saving men and women from committing suicide. Please purchase to read, and then please, give it away to someone that needs it.
